Hi, I'm Matt.

I've spent most of my life in two places: in front of a keyboard and in a gym.

I have a degree in computer science and a master's in sports psychology. I've coached club teams at every age from 10u through 18u, and I've also coached middle school and two-year college volleyball. I've been a proud AVCA member for years, and today I'm a technical director for a club.

I'm also a husband and the dad of four daughters. Two of them played college volleyball. The other two loved cheer and dance. So I've sat in the bleachers as a parent, too, and emptied my wallet at more club qualifiers than I can count.

All those years in clubs taught me something. Most club software makes you work its way. Directors end up bending their tryouts, rosters and practices to fit the tool, then fixing what it gets wrong on a spreadsheet.

Club directors have enough to manage. Their software shouldn't get in their way.
